Chris Curley: Right Feild (2007)

 

Chris Curley is currently playing for the Class A Rome Braves in the South Atlantic League, an Atlanta Brave's affiliate. Chris played for the Colonels in 2005 and 2006 before going on to Campbellsville University where he enjoyed a very successful 3 years and in 2009 was named Player of the Year in the Mid South Conference. He finished the year with a .403 batting average blasting 18 home runs, while tallying 64 RBI. Chris joins former Colonel player, Keenan Wiley on the Danville Braves roster. The two were Colonel teammates on our 2005 team.



 

Keenan Wiley: Left Feild (2007)

 

Former Kentucky Colonel Keenan Wiley has signed a minor league free agent contract with the Atlanta Braves. Wiley, a member of the Colonel’s 2005 team, played four years in the outfield for the University of Kentucky where he had the distinction of playing in the third-most games in UK history. In 2010, Wiley started all 56 games for UK in centerfield, batting .324 with a career-best four homers and 37 RBI, leading UK with 20 two-out RBI. Keenan joins former Colonel player, Chris Curley on the Danville Braves roster. The two were Colonel teammates on our 2005 team.



 

Graham Taylor: Catcher (2007)

 

Graham was on the Colonel's 2001 and 2002 teams. After high school he enjoyed a very successful career with Miami of Ohio. In 2006 Graham was selected by the Florida Marlins in the 10th round. Graham was called up to the majors and got his first major league start on Sunday, April 26, 2009 vs. the world champion Phillies. Graham is currently pitching with the Marlin's AA affiliate, Jacksonville Suns.
